Hi, I am Matt.

I am a multidisciplinary designer, technology tinkerer, and visual artist based in London.

01 / Intersection

Design with emotional depth.

I sit at the intersection of design, science, and technology, constantly striving to create human-centered solutions that have genuine emotional depth. I genuinely love what I do — I’ve always wanted to build things from scratch that people actually use, whether they are visual assets or complex digital platforms.

02 / Tool nerd

Tools are thinking environments.

You could definitely call me a “tool nerd.” I am an early adopter who loves exploring new software and figuring out what I can push it to do. I am heavily interested in how humans interact with computers and tools, which drives my passion for systems thinking and designing complex processes. For me, Design Thinking isn’t just a methodology; I advocate for treating it as an “operational system for your brain.”

03 / AI-first

Building tools from the ground up.

As an AI-first designer, I continuously test new AI tools and integrate them into my workflow. With the advent of AI, I am now able to build actual tools for myself and others from the ground up. This led me to create Savage Skill, a platform where I integrate AI and software development with design thinking. Through Savage Skill, I also deliver courses and teach AI implementation to private groups and at the university level.

04 / Art foundations

A traditional artist’s eye inside digital work.

Before diving deep into digital products, I was trained as an artist in a traditional school, studying painting, drawing, and sculpture. While I don’t work as a professional artist today, that artistic and aesthetic sensibility strongly informs my design work. I am fascinated by visual perception, natural phenomena, geometry, and mathematics, which often fuel my personal artistic practice. I also love to explore motion and 3D graphics at an exploratory level using tools like Cinema 4D, Blender, and Unreal Engine.

05 / Product practice

Inclusive digital systems

I care deeply about web technologies and maximizing what we can do natively in the browser to ensure the digital experiences I build are highly inclusive and accessible. In my professional career, I have overseen the end-to-end design of educational platforms globally as the Head of Art and Design at Medics.Academy. I’ve also delivered immersive experiences and digital products for major clients like Volkswagen, Bvlgari, the WHO, and Nestlé. Alongside my industry work, I am a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Westminster, helping students find their creative voices through active prototyping.

06 / Movement

Discipline, structure, iteration.

Outside of design and technology, I am a dedicated martial artist. I actively train in Capoeira and run a small Capoeira club here in London. Believe it or not, my martial arts training directly influences my professional work. I frequently translate the discipline, the structural approach, and the emphasis on continuous iteration from martial arts straight into my design processes.

07 / Education

A multidisciplinary foundation.

Finally, my formal educational background supports my multidisciplinary approach. I hold an MA in Narrative Environments from Central Saint Martins, a First Class Honours BA in Visual Communication from the University of Westminster, and I also studied Visual Advertising at Art College Piotr Potworowski.
