01 / THE CHALLENGE

Technical architecture was invisible to most of the company.

Dependencies, platforms and databases lived in documentation written for developers. For Product, Marketing, Sales and Ops, understanding the system meant decoding abstract diagrams and unfamiliar terminology — a poor foundation for alignment or onboarding.

02 / FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION

Software components became architectural landmarks.

Instead of asking people to memorise boxes and API lines, the system gave each digital component a physical identity. The visual metaphor made relationships easier to see, discuss and remember — while giving the whole ecosystem a coherent world of its own.

HOME / THINKIFIC

A welcoming house represents the entry point to educational content and programmes.

SSO / SINGLE SIGN-ON

A classical arch becomes the gateway through which every user enters the ecosystem.

SSO DASHBOARD

A structured administrative building signals identity, access and central control.

APP DASHBOARD

A civic landmark represents the shared workspace where programmes and people connect.

03 / THE GAMEPLAY

Match the landmark to its purpose. Build the ecosystem together.

Players connect each architectural card with its system functionality, data outputs and integrations. The exercise turns technical dependencies into a shared spatial puzzle — encouraging questions, negotiation and collaborative learning instead of passive documentation review.

A browser-based version mirrored the physical game for remote teammates and anyone unable to join the live session.

05 / THE IMPACT

From one-off workshop to living company infrastructure.

The game was praised across Product, Marketing, Sales and Ops for turning a dry onboarding task into a memorable shared experience. It became a permanent part of onboarding and a living document: new building cards are added as the stack evolves, keeping the whole company aligned in real time.

THE LIVING DECK

Every card is a piece of the system.
